A renowned global landscape architecture firm contacted Shona Collective to have two unique sculptures created for a Royal Palace in KSA in 2015. The vortex sculpture was composed of Springstone, weighing 20 tons in the rough, with six artists working for three months to winnow it to 3 tons. The flame sculpture was also made from Springstone, and was placed in an outdoor firepit lounge area. A key benefit of stone sculptures is the ability to withstand the elements in extreme temperatures and humidity.
