Inaugurated in 2022 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Safari Park is the largest safari park outside of the continent of Africa. Over the course of one year, Zimbabwean sculptor Dominic Benhura provided a set of seven animal sculptures to ornament the landscape of the park – zebra, rhinoceros, giraffe, lion, crocodile, elephant, and eland. The pieces were crafted from Springstone, White Dolomite, and Cobalt.
